Egypt (Cairo / Giza, Egypt)
Works of art live longer than our life. The desire of making and keeping may show our longing for eternity. Egypt has the ingredients of such human world. My visiting was from the close of 2004 to the beginning of 2005.

I met some people at pension SAKURA except Essert and Abdoo. Mai, who is so cute, high-spirited, an Arabian maid, twenty, short height and has shoulder length straight black hair. She also likes the smell of a lotus flower which I got as a perfume at Khan el-Khalili but totally spilt because of its container's failure unluckily. Synne, who is from Norway, came to study Arabic, noble and Christian. She told me, "To know the religion is to know the government. God has a great power and makes us wiser, stronger and kinder. There're many weak people all over the world. The existense that gives them powers is God. If I pray, God exists beside me. I hope that you find God." She knew that I would visit Israel and continued to say, "I hope that the leader after Arafat will make co-exist easier. You're lucky because you can meet and hear Israli telling face to face." And I felt she had something to make men kinder and religions were experienced each way, method, history and government, and it all were connected. And I also met some Japanese, TOYOTA guy, Hiroshima lady, food poisoning lady, high school teacher, Japanese teacher (He seems to have been majored in Middle East in Japan. he is planning to stay in Egypt for other three years.), a couple (They quit their companies and journey on for half year. I asked them, "Which country is best for now?" They answered, "It's Tibet."), Chiba girls (They went across Africa taking eight months. "What do you do after coming back to Japan?", "I was a sales worker of real estate business for two years, but found it didn't suit my character. I' d really like to help poor people as a voluntary staff. I will study medicine or nursing in Japan." The remark impressed me deeply.)...And I went to the mosque with Hori by bus in order to watch the Sufism dance and we coincidentally met Nami there, who was also a resident of SAKURA.
