Works of art live longer than our life. The desire of making and keeping may show our longing for eternity. Egypt has the ingredients of such human world. My visiting was from the close of 2004 to the beginning of 2005.

Pyramids were made in about B.C. 2000 and have the golden section whici is the most harmonious ratio in the world of the height to one side equaled 1 to 1.6. Actually, there're many other kinds available about that ratio. The upper body to the lower body of "Venus of Melos", the height to one side of "Parthenon", the length to the width of "postcard" (to be exact, it's 1 to 1.5) and much more. Amazing.
